Shaista Langari joined Hope Community in July 2022 as the Executive and Fundraising Associate. In November 2023, she transitioned to the role of Development Coordinator, reflecting her strong interest in development work. In this capacity, she collaborates with the Development and Impact team to further the organization’s mission. 

A native of Afghanistan, from 2015 to 2021, she worked with local and international nonprofits and humanitarian organizations including Afghanistan’s New Generation Organization, Hagar International, Oxfam and Save the Children where she served in various development and lifesaving response projects for Gender Based Violence survivors, at risk minorities, local communities, and empowering women. Besides her professional career, Shaista is a visual artist. Her artistic expression encompasses self-reflection, peace, the rights of minorities, the harrowing experience of war, the pursuit of freedom, inner conflicts, self-awareness, and women’s well-being.
