Hello, my name is Benicio, and I’ve had the privilege of serving as the Parks and Power Manager at Hope since 2025. In this role, my primary focus is addressing racial inequities within the parks system and engaging communities in the decision-making processes of the Park Board.

Over the past several years, I’ve been involved in numerous political campaigns, which have given me the opportunity to work with diverse communities across the Twin Cities metro area. This experience led me to Hope, drawn by its dedication to building and strengthening community in Minneapolis.

I am deeply passionate about my work here because it aligns with my commitment to improving the lives of others, and I truly feel that my role allows me to make a direct impact. I’m especially excited to focus on legislation supporting universal renter vouchers and to collaborate with the new Park Board in the months ahead.
