Hello, my name is Benicio, and I’ve had the privilege of serving as the Parks and Power Manager at Hope since 2025. My primary focus in this role is to address racial inequities within the Parks system and get communities involved in the decision making of the Park board. Over the past several years, I’ve been involved in numerous political campaigns, which has given me the opportunity to engage with diverse communities across the Twin Cities metro. This experience brought me to Hope, drawn by Hope’s dedication to building and strengthening community in Minneapolis. I am deeply passionate about my work here because it aligns with my commitment to improving the lives of others, and I truly feel that my role allows me to make a direct impact. I am excited to recruit new members to run for the Parks and Rec board, ensuring we have a board that genuinely reflects the community it serves.
