Instead of building housing projects, Hope Community is building a strong community in a neighborhood that was once devastated. Alongside hundreds of units of affordable housing spread across multiple buildings, we created safe, healthy spaces and where people can gather, play, learn and lead.

Hope’s offices and community center are in one of the South Quarter buildings at the intersection of Portland and Franklin Avenues in Minneapolis. Other buildings house two neighborhood businesses that serve the community—a quality childcare center and a market. Neighbors have the opportunity to grow healthy, local foods in our three community gardens that now add up to 7,500 square feet of growing space. Other indoor and outdoor community spaces are located across our properties.

Where residents now gather, relationships flourish and community life is regained. Each of our unique spaces contributes to our vision for a strong, healthy community.
